Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Service and Repair

61 35 714 - Removing and installing/replacing control unit for sliding/tilting sunroof (from 03/07)





Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection) 61 35 ... Notes on ESD Protection (Electro Static Discharge).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove luggage compartment floor trim
- If necessary, remove storage tray for car jack
- If necessary, remove spare wheel
- Remove control unit cover





M5:
Remove control unit for sliding/tilting sunroof (1) from insert shell (2).
Disconnect plug connection (3).





All:
Remove control unit for sliding/tilting sunroof (1) from equipment mounting (2).
Disconnect plug connection (3).





Installation Note:
- Initialize slide/tilt sunroof Testing and Inspection





Replacement:
- Carry out vehicle programming/coding Programming and Relearning

Important!
There is a risk of permanent battery discharge if programming/coding is not carried out!
