52 14 392 - Removing and installing/replacing front left or right crash-active head restraint





Warning!
Comply with safety regulations [1][2]72 00 ... Safety Regulations For Handling Components With Gas Generators for handling components with gas generators.
Incorrect handling may result in triggering of the crash-active head restraint and thereby cause injury.

Switch off ignition!





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Negative Battery Cable

- Remove rear panel





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Feed out wiring harness from head restraint height adjustment and foam material.





Lever out locking clamps (1)





Lift out head restraint.
