Explanation Of The Menu Items In The Stepper Motor Test.
[1] Run diagnosis of a stepper motor
After selection of this test step, an input is required to indicate the stepper motor to be tested. Subsequently, the selected stepper motor is moved from 0 % to 100 %. During the move, the current fault status
- Stepper motor no longer communicating with the control module
- Internal stepper motor fault
- Initialization fault (specified position is not accepted by the stepper motor)
- Stepper motor blocked
of the stepper motor is queried continuously. If a fault is detected, stepper motor activation is canceled directly, followed by checks and measure recommendations.
Execute this test step if a fault memory entry has been made for a stepper motor.
[2] Determine installation location and function of a stepper motor
After selection of this test step, an input is required to indicate the stepper motor to be tested. During the checks, the blower is activated and all non-selected stepper motors are moved to position 'closed' or 'cold'. The plausibility of the installation location and function of the selected stepper motor can then be established by manually checking the air exit or air temperature adjustment. The following possibilities are available to check the system:
- Move stepper motor to position 0 % (closed / warm)
- Move stepper motor to position 100 % (open / cold)
- Move stepper motor from 0 % to 100 %. In this test, the fault status of the stepper motor is queried in the same way as [1]
[3] Diagnosis of all stepper motors
After selection of this test step, all the stepper motors of the climate control are moved in succession from 0 % to 100 %. During movement, the current fault status is continuously queried as described at [1]. If a fault is detected in a stepper motor, the test is cancelled and the test plan continues with subsequent checks and measure recommendations. After fault detection, the test is not continued; it must be restarted.

- Execute a calibrating run of the stepper motors
- Execute auto-addressing of the stepper motors
