SUBJECT
ZGM Fault Code 801C20 (Hex) or 8395808 (Dec)

F01, F02 (7 Series)

SITUATION
Fault code 801C20 (Hex) or 8395808 (Decimal) (Central fault memory full - no control-module fault) is stored in the ZGM (Central Gateway Module, ZGW). The test module (ABL AT5100_ZGM-Central gateway module and FlexRay F01) specifies the following procedure:

1. "Clear the fault code memory", followed by:

2. "Program the following control unit: ZGW control unit", and if the fault is still present, followed by:

3. "Replace the following control unit: ZGW control unit".

CAUSE
Errors in the ISTA test module

INFORMATION
If fault code 801C20 (Hex) or 8395808 (Decimal) is present, it is neither necessary to program nor replace the ZGM control module.

After the "Clear the fault memory" message, the test module can be ended (no programming or module replacement is necessary). The fault memory will be cleared even though that appears not to be the case.
