Erroneous Fault Code Entries in the TRSVC Module

MODEL
F01, F02 *(7 Series)

[NEW] Vehicles produced from 8/31/08 up to 2/26/09 with Top-Rear-Side View Cameras (option 3AH)

SITUATION

The following spurious fault code entries are intermittently stored in the Top-Rear-Side View Camera module (TRSVC):

0x800BAD Side-view camera right-hand side: dirt detected

0x800BAE Side-view camera left-hand side: dirt detected

0x800BAF Rear-view camera: dirt detected

0x800B89 Side-view camera right-hand side: pixel fault

0x800B8A Side-view camera left-hand side: pixel fault

0x800B8B Rear-view camera: pixel fault

This will not lead to a customer complaint.

CAUSE

Error in the TRSVC module

The corrective measure has been integrated in the latest version of ISTA diagnostics. Perform the recommended steps in test plan AT6653_TRSVCF01.

Test plan AT6653_TRSVCF01 can be found as follows: Activities tab / Information Search / Function Structure / Body / Camera Systems / Start Search.

[NEW] CORRECTION

Refer to ISTA diagnosis for the required repair procedure.

[NEW] WARRANTY INFORMATION

Refer to the KSD2 to code the repair performed as prescribed by ISTA diagnosis results and the Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual for specific warranty coverage.
