SUBJECT
Side View Camera has Blurred Image

MODEL
F01, F02 *(7 Series)

*with Side View Camera (option 5DK)

SITUATION
The side view camera has a blurred image in high ambient temperatures.

CAUSE
When the side view camera housing material becomes too hot, the electronics inside the housing no longer function properly, causing the side view camera to produce a blurred image.

[NEW] CORRECTION
Replace the defective side view camera. Improved parts can be ordered through EPC.

Refer to Repair Instruction RA 66 51... Removing and installing/replacing left or right side view camera.

Calibrate the side view camera after installation using the BMW diagnosis tool ISTA.
