Fault text
DDE: Ambient temperature sensor, plausibility:
Fault description
Outside temperature plausibility check. The plausibility
error is logged when the diference between the boost-air
temperature and the outside temperature rises above the
limit value 35 K.
The outside temperature is calculated from a physical
temperature, the sensor ambient temperature, and an
additive offset correction factor.
Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The following conditions must be met before the error check
can be active:
Either the boost-air temperature must lie between -40 C and
70 C or the outside temperature must be between -40 C
and 70 C.
The speed signal must be greater than or equal to 75 km/h.
The monitored mass airflow must be greater than or equal to
100 kg/h.
Voltage condition:
The following conditions must be met before the error check
can be active:
Either the boost-air temperature must lie between -40 C and
70 C or the outside temperature must be between -40 C
and 70 C.
The speed signal must be greater than or equal to 75 km/h.
The monitored mass airflow must be greater than or equal to
100 kg/h.
Condition for fault memory entry
Debounce (15000 ms)
Action in service
1. Check wires and plug connections.
2. If wiring and plug connections are OK:
Replace outside-temperature sensor.
