Exhaust Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair



13 62 585 Removing And Installing/Replacing The Pressure Sensor For The Exhaust System (M57TU, M57T2, M57T2 SCR)







IMPORTANT:
Make sure your hands are clean.
Avoid dirt contamination by lubricants and greases that contain oil.







Necessary preliminary work:
- Read out DME fault memory.







Release plug connection (1) and pull off.
Pull off hose (2).
Unlock locking tab (3) and remove pressure sensor (4) in direction of arrow.







Installation note:
Check the pressure hose (3). Replace hardened pressure hose.
Check connection on pressure pipe and pressure sensor for tightness.
A pressure hose which has been pulled off once must be secured with a 15 mm.
19 mm diameter screw clamp.
Tightening torque 18 32 1AZ.







Check function of DME.
