The cable in the steering wheel might have been routed inadvertently across a copper rivet or the plastic border of the screw. This can mean that the cable is squeezed and the MFL buttons can be without function sporadically or continuously.

1. Incorrect assembly of cables in the steering wheel







If the cables are routed as shown in 1 over the copper rivet or the screw, they must be secured again in the cable bracket and routed as shown in 2. This prevents that the cable is squeezed by the airbag.
