Radiator Cooling Fan: Service and Repair

17 11 035 Remove And Install Or Replace The Fan Cowl With Electric Fan (N20, N52K, N54, N54T)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove cross connection.
- Automatic transmissions only:
Release transmission oil cooler from the fan cowl; do not remove.







Unclip coolant line (1) from fan cowl.
Unlock and disconnect connectors (2) on fan cowl on right.







Release screw (1) on fan cowl.
Tightening torque 17 10 1AZ.
Release lock (2) and remove fan cowl (3) towards top.







Installation note:
Insert retaining tabs (1) at bottom of radiator or charge air cooler.







NOTE:
Check stored fault message.
Reassemble the vehicle.
Delete fault memory.
