Rear Lamp Leaks

[NEW] SITUATION
[NEW] CAUSE
The rear taillight has cracks due to torsion stress (contact between the body and lens). The cracks provide a path for water to enter the taillight.
[NEW] PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the rear taillight for any damage caused by outside influences or impact. Outside influences or impact is not covered under warranty
2. If no outside influences are found, replace the defective side taillight using ISTA Repair Instruction REP 63 21 170, "Removing and installing / replacing left or right rear light."
1. If the vehicle has the other taillight cracked you need to repeat the same procedure.

Repairing One Side
Labor operation code 63 21 175 is a Main labor operation. If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 63 21 675 instead.

Repairing Both Sides
Labor operation code 63 21 207 is a Main labor operation. If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 63 21 707 instead.
Refer to KSD2 for the corresponding flat rate unit (FRU) allowance. Enter the Chassis Number, which consists of the last 7 digits of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Click on the "Search" button, and then enter the applicable flat rate labor operation in the FR code field.
Even though work time labor operation code 63 99 000 ends in "000," it is not considered a Main labor operation.
