51 16 045 - Removing and installing or replacing retaining ring on left or right exterior mirror





Special tools required:





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove housing on exterior mirror Removing and Installing/Replacing Housing on Left or Right Door Mirror
- Remove drive Service and Repair for electrically adjustable exterior mirror





Release screws (1) on retaining ring (2).





Starting at bottom, unclip catches (1) all round from retaining ring (2) with special tool 00 9 317.
Remove retaining ring (2).





Installation:
Catches (1) must not be damaged.
Locators (2) for multitooth catches must not be damaged.
