Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

13 71 000 - Removing and installing/replacing intake filter housing (N51)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit
- Switch off ignition
- Only when replacing housing:
Remove air-mass flow sensor Service and Repair





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release clamp and detach air intake hose (2).





Unlock intake duct (1) sideways and detach.
Release screws.
Remove intake filter housing (2) towards top.






Note:
Check stored fault messages.
Now clear the fault memory.
