Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

13 62 650 - Replacing camshaft pulse generator (M57, M57TU, M57T2)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DDE control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition
- Remove acoustic cover





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw.
Tightening torque 13 62 8AZ 13 62 Senders for Control Unit.
Remove pulse generator.






Installation Note:
Check sealing ring (1) for damage and replace if necessary.





Installation:
Now clear the fault memory.
