Replacing a Guide Arm




33 32 091 - Replacing a guide arm





Note:
If the guide arm is detached from the rear axle carrier, it is necessary after reinstallation to carry out a wheel/chassis alignment check.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear wheel 36 10 300 Remove or Install Front or Rear Wheel.





Release nut (1) and remove heat shield (2).
Tightening torque 33 32 10AZ 33 22 Handlebars and Struts (Rear).

Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.





Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 33 32 6AZ 33 22 Handlebars and Struts (Rear).
Pull out bolt (1) and remove guide arm (2).

Installation:
Tighten bolt connection in normal position 32 00 ... Moving Vehicle Into Normal Position.





Slacken nut (1).
Tightening torque 33 32 7AZ 33 22 Handlebars and Struts (Rear).
Remove guide arm (2) from wheel carrier.

Installation:
Insert guide arm (2) first in wheel carrier.
Keep guide arm to wheel carrier connection clean and free from oil and grease.
Replace self-locking nut.





After installation:
- Perform chassis alignment check
