CC Message: Adaptive Headlights

Vehicles produced up to February 28, 2010

SITUATION

[NEW] A Check Control (CC) message is displayed for the adaptive headlights. The headlamps no longer turn with steering wheel movement. Fault code 800FC6 is entered in the Footwell Module (FRM3).

CAUSE

A second turn signal request is made at the exact moment when the steering wheel is automatically cancelling from a previous turn signal request.

The sequence of events is as follows:

^ The turn signal is indicated in one direction.

^ The vehicle makes the turn.

^ As the steering wheel begins to straighten, the turn signal is cancelled automatically.

^ At the exact moment the turn signal is cancelling, the turn signal is indicated in the opposite direction.

^ Intermittently the CC message is displayed.

CORRECTION
[NEW] Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.39.0 or later.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
