Radiator Hose: Service and Repair

17 .. ... Removing and installing/replacing coolant hose at radiator outlet (N52K)





Warning!
Risk of scalding!
Only perform this repair work after engine has cooled down.





Important!
Wear safety goggles and protective gloves.

Necessary preliminary work:





^ Follow instructions for repair work on the cooling system.
^ Remove fan cowl.
^ Drain coolant.





Unfasten and detach coolant hose at radiator (1) and coolant thermostat.

Unlock connector on coolant temperature sensor and disconnect

Remove coolant hose.

Installation Note:
Coolant hose used until now had an integrated coolant temperature sensor (3) nut this is no longer required.

Newer versions of coolant hoses have no coolant temperature sensor.





Installation Note:
If a newer version of the coolant hose is fitted, a resistor must be connected to the connector of the coolant temperature sensor (take from electronic parts catalogue).

Fix the cable of the coolant temperature sensor with a cable strap (2) at the wiring harness.





Reassemble the vehicle.
