No Audio Output in All Modes

F07* (5 Series Gran Turismo) from SOP to 12/31/2009
E70* (X5) from 08/01/12009 to 12/31/2009
E71* (X6) from 08/01/2009 to 12/31/2009
E72* (ActiveHybrid X6) from 08/01/2009 to 12/31/2009

*With option 677 (HiFi System Professional)

SITUATION
On the above-mentioned cars, there is no audible output for the following systems:

^ Audio sound system (radio, CD/DVD, AUX-In, USB, etc.)

^ Warning gongs

^ Park Distance Control

^ Navigation system

^ Speech Recognition System

^ Rear Seat Entertainment System

^ Hands-free phone calls (SOS call is not affected)

CAUSE
Software and/or hardware error in the top HiFi amplifier

In the case of a software error, fault code B7F491 (Internal control unit error) is stored in the AMPT07 (amplifier).

PROCEDURE
^ Perform a vehicle test and check whether fault code B7F491 is stored in the amplifier.

^ When no fault code is stored in the amplifier, refer to Attachment_A.

^ If fault code B7F491 is stored in the amplifier, delete the fault code entry and reprogram the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.37.0 or later.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
