SUBJECT
Failure of Remote Control Locking

MODEL
E70 (X5)

SITUATION

Intermittently or permanently, the remote control locking is inoperative. Both remote keys are affected.

[NEW] In some cases, the parking brake warning is illuminated in the instrument cluster and fuse F129 is blown.

CAUSE

Wiring harness damage to the electrical components in the rear hatch, in the area where they pass through the body and rubber harness
