Upper Door Frame Seal Noises

SITUATION

Noises may be heard from the top of the door frame when driving the vehicle, especially when driving on rough roads. The noises are more apparent with increased heat and humidity.

CAUSE

The torsion movement between the upper door gap seal and the painted surface of the roof area can create the rubbing noise.

PROCEDURE

Thoroughly clean all four door openings where the upper seal meets the painted roof area, using silicone remover. Repeat the cleaning procedure to ensure all contaminants are fully removed. Replace all four upper door frame seals with the revised parts listed below.
