Rear Seat Noise from ISOFIX Clips

Vehicles produced from 8/31/06 to 10/20/10

Only affects vehicles with Nevada or Nappa leather

SITUATION
A creaking or squeaking noise is coming from the rear seat (second row) when the vehicle is in motion or when the seat is occupied.

CAUSE
Relative motion between the rear seat leather and the ISOFIX (International Organization for Standardization of child safety seats) clips causes noises.

PROCEDURE
Do not replace parts to correct this problem.

Treat the area of the rear seat that comes in contact with the ISOFIX clips with BMW Leather Care Product.
