CON Controller Voltage Supply


The controller (CON) is only fitted on the E70 depending on the variant.

Versions of the controller
On the E70, the controller is only in the basic version.
The basic version of the controller is fitted in vehicles with CHAMP, M-ASK and CIC. The basic version has only a mechanical rotational resistance on the control button. This means that the control button always has the same rotational resistance (detents) and no end stop. The basic version can distinguish 4 shifting directions.

Supply lines of the controller
The controller is supplied across the following lines:
- Earthing cable
- Positive wire from terminal 30g
- K-CAN connection (K-CAN High and K-CAN Low)

Bus communication of the controller
The controller sends the status of the control button (shifting direction, detected rotation, button of the control button) and the status of the additional buttons via the K-CAN. The recipient of this CAN message is the CCC or M-ASK.
The button illumination is activated directly by the controller. For activation, the controller uses the CAN message of terminal 58g (comes from FRM).
