GWS - Electric Gearshift Trim Replacement

E70 (X5) and E71 (X6) with 6HP/8HP automatic transmissions
INFORMATION
The GWS gearshift trim piece (shifter knob cover) is now available as a separate replacement part (P/N 61 31 9 116 587).
For issues related to GWS shifter trim poor surface quality or other defects, do not replace the complete GWS shifter unit, but only the shifter's trim (cover).
Warranty claims for complete GWS shifter replacements due to trim cover defects (instead of trim exchange) will be debited.
