Note:
- The capacity specificaton above reflects revisions published in Technical Service Bulletin SI B 11 01 13 regarding oil consumption in turbocharged engines which includes revisions to "top up" and engine oil change fluid capacities for N63 engines in this application.
- Per TSB SI B 11 01 13, when a message is displayed indicating that 1 quart of oil should be added, BMW recommends adding 2 quarts of oil; the oil sump design allows for the additional capacity
