Convertible Top Latch Actuator: Service and Repair

54 37 105 - Removing and installing/replacing front lock drive





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove roofliner 54 37 035 Removing and Installing/Replacing Roofliner for Roof Shell at Front





Installation:
- Microencapsulated nuts (Loctite) must be replaced and may not be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 minutes (start of curing)
- Microencapsulated nuts must not be retightened
- Threaded bolts must be cleaned beforehand in event of repeated use





Slide open retaining clip (1) and unclip ball head.





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unscrew nuts.
Tightening torque 54 37 12AZ [1][2]Specifications.
