Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

12 61 280 - Removing and installing/replacing oil pressure switch (M57TU, M57T2)





Important!
Protect alternator against engine oil.
Cover alternator with suitable apparatus (risk of damage).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Release oil filter cap Service and Repair





Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Remove oil pressure switch (2).

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 12 61 1AZ. Mechanical Specifications

Important!
A small amount of engine oil emerges when the oil pressure switch is removed, have a cleaning cloth ready.





Note:
Check engine oil level.
Check function of oil pressure switch and check for leaks.
