51 47 ... Removing And Refitting/Replacing Privacy Screen Lock (Centre)







When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove privacy screen cover (centre)







Remove screws from handle casing (1) and lock (2).
Tightening torque 51 47 9AZ.
Manoeuvre out handle casing and lock.







Replacement
Separate lock (3) from return spring (2) of handle casing (1) and set aside.







Additional work on lock:
Change over buffer stop (1).
Remove screws (2) from fixing bracket (3).
Tightening torque 51 47 10AZ.
Change over fixing bracket (3).







Additional work on handle casing:
Manoeuvre out return spring (2).
Manoeuvre out handle recess (1) from handle casing (3).

Installation:
Retaining lugs and holder for return spring (2) must not be damaged.
