SUBJECT
N55 - Delayed Throttle Response When Driving Off
MODEL
E70 (X5 xDrive 35i) and E71 (X6 xDrive 35i) produced to 12/2010
F07 (535i and 535 xDrive Gran Turismo) with N55 engine produced to 2/2011
F10 (535i and 535i xDrive) with N55 engine and automatic transmission produced to 2/2011
SITUATION
Delayed throttle response when driving off with a high engine load
This problem occurs mainly under the following conditions:
^ High ambient outside temperatures
^ The air conditioning is switched on
^ The steering wheel is turned slightly
CAUSE
DME software calibration
CORRECTION
[NEW] Perform diagnostics using ISTA/D and work through the recommended test modules found using the path below:
[NEW] Activities / Information search / Functional structure / 01 Powertrain / Engine electronics MEVD / [!] Current fault patterns / Power loss/acceleration problems
The improved DME software was introduced into production and ISTA/P with the following integration levels:
E070-10-12-501 and higher
F001-11-03-500 and higher
F010-11-03-500 and higher

Refer to the KSD2 to code the repair performed, as prescribed by ISTA diagnosis results.
