51 16 165 Removing And Installing/Replacing Complete Centre Console







IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on handling wiring harnesses and cables.







When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove side trim panel on centre console on left and right

- Automatic version only:
- Disconnect negative terminal
- Remove gear selector switch

- Remove centre armrest storage compartment

- Rear cabin entertainment option only:
- Remove DVD player in rear console







Release screws (1) from centre console (2), front.

Installation:
When feeding centre console (2) in, pay attention to any cables from comfort antenna.







Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ.







4-zone automatic air conditioning option only:
Unlock plug connection (1) on rear compartment blower (2) and disconnect.







Release screws (1) from centre console (2), rear.

Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ.

Remove aerial for Comfort Access (2) from bracket.

Disconnect associated plug connection.

Carefully feed out centre console (3) in upward direction.







Replacement
- Change over centre armrest.
- Change over all fixings.
