DDE7.3 Control Unit

IMPORTANT:
Follow these instructions carefully when replacing a DDE control unit.
- Replacing a control unit with which communication is still possible.
Before removing the control unit, the service function 'Data recovery' must be run to recover data from the control unit. These data are cached and must be restored after installation of the new control unit.
- Replacement of a control unit with which no communication is possible.
After replacing the control unit, the injection quantity compensation must be carried out. The codes of the injectors fitted in the engine must be stored on the new control unit. To perform this operation, use service function "injection quantity compensation".

Introduction
The control-unit plug is modular and has five plug modules.

Ambient-pressure sensor
The ambient-pressure sensor is integrated in the DDE control unit and cannot be replaced separately.

Electronics box fan (E-box fan)
No E-box fan is fitted on the F01 with N57.

Troubleshooting
The DDE control unit is monitored for various internal faults. If an internal fault occurs, the DDE control unit must be replaced.
