SITUATION

The camera picture displayed in the CID (Central Information Display) flickers. This only occurs in the vicinity of gas discharge lamps or halogen lamps in garages or workshops. Upon leaving the area of the light source the picture returns to normal.

CAUSE

Pulsed light including gas discharge lamps or halogen lamps can produce flickering of the picture displayed in the CID.

[NEW] INFORMATION

The corrective measure has been integrated into the latest version of ISTA diagnostics. Perform the recommended steps in test plans W6653_WAS5 and W6653_WAS6.

Test plans W6653_WAS5 and W6653_WAS6 can be found as follows: Activities tab / Information Search / Function Structure / Body / Camera System / Start Search / Select test plan.

Note:
The applicable test plan will be displayed depending on the vehicle being repaired.
