False Fault Code Entry in the Rear Seat Entertainment Module

MODEL
F07 *(5 Series Gran Turismo)

*Vehicles produced up to 07/2010 with option 6FG (Rear Seat Entertainment)

SITUATION
The following false fault code entry can intermittently be stored in the Rear Seat Entertainment module (RSE):

0xB7FC1F - Internal voltage fault

This will not lead to a customer complaint

CAUSE
Error in the RSE module

INFORMATION
Do not replace parts!

This fault code can be ignored and cleared as long as diagnostics does not suggest any other repair.

If prompted by the diagnostics, please follow the test plan in the diagnostics using the latest ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application) diagnostic software.
