51 24 146 Removing And Installing/Replacing Button For Rear Lid Actuation







Special tools required:
- 00 9 327







With special tool 00 9 327, drive under front edge of button (1) and carefully lever out retaining tabs of button (1) at the marked points.

Installation:
Retaining tabs on button (1) must not be damaged.

Pull button (1) out of rear lid (2).







For reversing camera optional extra only:
Unclip left and right reversing camera (1) and feed out from button frame (2).

Installation:
Seal (3) of reversing camera (1) must not be damaged or missing.







Disconnect plug (1) from microswitch and remove button (2).

Installation:
Perform function check with rear lid open.







Replacement:
Carefully release catches (1) from button frames and remove microswitch (2).

Installation:
Correctly snap in microswitch (1) and check mechanical function.
