Front Fender: Service and Repair

41 35 081 Removing And Installing Front Side Panel On Left






For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD CD (job number 41 35 081).
Observe gap dimensions.

IMPORTANT: Do not damage adjoining body components.

Necessary preliminary work:
- Remove additional indicator. 63 13 200 Removing and Installing/Replacing Front Left or Right Auxiliary Turn Indicator
- Remove trim panel for cover of side member.
- Remove wheel arch covers.
- Partially release side bumper trim. 51 11 156 Removing and Installing Front Bumper Trim
- Remove seal mounting for engine compartment lid. Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Engine Hood/Bonnet Seal Locator







Release screws.
Tightening torque 41 35 1AZ. [1][2]41 35 Side Walls
Tightening torque 41 35 2AZ. [1][2]41 35 Side Walls

Replacement:







Also apply sprayable sealant on inside of front panel in area (1). Apply to area (1) based on
shape of side wall to be replaced.
