51 16 045 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Retaining Ring On Left Or Right Exterior Mirror







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove mirror glass







Release screws (1).
Carefully bend exterior mirror cover cap outwards and carefully unclip retaining ring (2).
Catches on retaining ring (2) and retaining lugs on cover cap must not be damaged in the process.







Version with lane change warning:
Also unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) for optical sensor (2).
Remove retaining ring (3).
