N54 - Enhancement to HDP Replacement Procedure

INFORMATION
The Repair Instructions REP13 51 017 (N54 Remove/replace HDP High-pressure Pump) have been updated with the release of Special Tool P/N 83 30 0 496 939.

The special tool accommodates easy removal of the engine harness block located under the intake manifold (see the attachment). Consequently, the removal of the intake manifold is no longer necessary when replacing the HDP on the N54 engine.

Please consult the latest version of the KSD2 for the adjusted labor allowances.

Special Tool P/N 83 30 0 496 939 (Car Tool P/N 00 7 300) is being distributed to all BMW centers via the Automatic Tool Shipment Program (refer to SI B04 22 10).
