51 64 020 - Removing and installing/replacing upper rear connection





Important!
Driving without the connection is not permitted. (risk of damage to the body).





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove side engine hood/bonnet seal mounting Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Engine Hood/Bonnet Seal Locator in work area





Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 61 2AZ Specifications.
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 61 3AZ Specifications.
Release screws (3).
Tightening torque 51 61 5AZ Specifications.
Release screws (4).
Release screw (5).
Tightening torque 51 61 6AZ Specifications.
Remove rear connection (6) and front connection (7).





Replacement:
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 61 4AZ Specifications.
Detach rear connection (2) from front connection (3).

Installation Note:
Make sure rear connection guide lug is correctly seated in front connection.
