Fault text
Throttle valve, throttle potentiometer 1: Short to B+ or open
circuit

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electrical connection
between the DME and throttle valve sensor 1.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage of throttle valve
sensor 1 > 4.70 V.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defective wiring harness between DME and throttle valve
- Defective throttle valve
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the fault persists
for longer than 230 ms.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between DME and throttle valve
- Replace throttle valve

facility. Drive with moderation.
