Throttle valve 2, throttle potentiometer 1: Short to B+ or
open circuit

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electrical connection
between the DME and sensor 1 at throttle valve 2.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage of sensor 1 at
throttle valve 2 is > 4.70 V.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness between DME and throttle valve
2
- Throttle valve 2 defective
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the fault persists
for longer than 230 ms.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between DME and throttle valve 2
- Replace throttle valve 2
