Air-mass flow sensor 2, self-diagnosis: sensor faulty

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors whether the Bank 2 mass
airflow sensor transmits the oscilloscope trace when an
internal fault is detected.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the digital air mass signal 2
continuously is at low level while the digital temperature
signal 2 is continuously at high level.
Potential problem source(s):
- Mass airflow sensor defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 0.6 sec.

Action in service
- Replace HFM
