positive

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electrical link between
the DME and the CAS: S_START.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when a short circuit to positive is
present.
Potential problem source(s):
- The wire from the DME to the CAS: S_START has a short
to positive.
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- 5 sec. at engine speed > 750 rpm
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1 sec.

Action in service
- The wire from the DME to the CAS: S_START Check
