Turbocharger-coolant pump, control line, electrical: Short
circuit to B+

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the voltage in the signal
wire to the turbocharger water pump.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage on the signal wire
for the turbocharger water pump is always (without control
activation) above 4.99 V.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defective signal wire
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- No internal DME faults should be present

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 42 sec.

- Check wiring harness between turbocharger water pump
and DME
