Throttle valve 2, start check: spring test

Fault description
This diagnostic feature monitors the voltages of throttle
valve 2 at the emergency-air position, and whether throttle
valve 2 can be moved each time Terminal 15 is switched on
without a convenience start.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when throttle valve 2 fails to reach
the specified position of 17� in the specified period (roughly
0.6 sec.).
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness between DME and throttle valve
2
- Throttle valve 2 defective
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- Intake air temperature > -10 °C
- Coolant temperature > -10 °C
- Coolant temperature < 142 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 2.2 sec.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between DME and throttle valve 2
- Replace throttle valve 2
