Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter, in
coasting/overrun mode: Signal outside limit value

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the voltage of the signal
from the pre-catalyst oxygen sensor during overrun
operation.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the voltage is less than 2.9 V
in the overrun phase.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness
- Oxygen sensor defective
- Catalytic converter defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- 4.5 sec. after overrun operation starts
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the condition
remains present for over 9 seconds during overrun
operation.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness
- Replace oxygen sensor
- Replace catalytic converter
