Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors operation of the
accelerator and the brake pedal.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the accelerator pedal and the
brake pedal have been depressed simultaneously for a
specific period.
Potential problem source(s):
- Operator error: Continuous, simultaneous pressure on
accelerator and brake pedal
- Sticking accelerator pedal
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Speed > 10 km/h

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1.5 sec.

Action in service
- Visual inspection and activation check on accelerator pedal
module
- Ask customer about driving habits (two-foot driver)

Fault effect and breakdown warning
Breakdown notice:
- none
Possible apparent symptoms:
- Can lead to substantially less accelerator response when
the brake is depressed simultaneously. Accelerator pedal
restriction is canceled immediately as soon as operation of
both pedals ceases.
