Temperature sensor, radiator outlet, plausibility: signal
implausible

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the temperature sensor at
the radiator discharge after the thermostat opens.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the temperature at the radiator
discharge deviates too strongly from the engine temperature.
Potential problem source(s):
- Sensor defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 11 V
Temperature condition:
- Starting point: Engine temperature between -9.75 °C and
65.25 °C and intake-air temperature between -9.75 °C and
69 °C
- Final point: Engine temperature > 95 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.

Action in service
- Check wiring harness between DME and sensor
- Replace sensor

- none
Possible apparent symptoms:
- Possible slight reduction in power
- Fan rotates at high speed
