Gearing for Head Restraint Adjustment

52 17 035 Removing And Installing/Replacing Gearing For Head Restraint Adjustment







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove shaft for backrest head adjustment







Release screws (4) on left and right.
Tightening torque 52 10 10AZ.
Remove retainer (1) on left and right.
Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.

Installation:
To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
- Twist out component (3) until threaded rods (5) are of equal length.
