Charge-air temperature sensor 2, gradient: gradient too high
or jump
Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the signal from the charge-
air temperature sensor on Bank 2 for gradients that are too
steep.
Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the difference between
consecutive measured values > 3 °C through the entire
debounce time or is > 7.5 °C one time.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in wiring harness
- Charge air temperature sensor defective
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- None
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- none
Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1.5 sec.
Action in service
- Visual inspection of the sensor and its wiring
- Perform electrical measurements on sensor wire, power
supply and ground (possible intermittent open!) Replace
sensor
