Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

51 32 170 Remove And Install/Replace Side Window, Front Left Or Right







Necessary preliminary work:
- Open side window to 145 mm.
- Remove sound insulation from front door
- Remove outer window cavity cover strip







Side window glass must be opened to dimension (A).

A = 145 mm







Carefully unlock window glass locating clips (1) in direction of arrow.
Gently press side window glass upwards to snap retaining lug (2) completely out of side window glass bore hole (3).

IMPORTANT:
- Risk of damage.
- Do not bend locating clips (1) too far.

Installation note:
Make sure retaining lug (2) is correctly engaged in side window glass bore hole (3).







Turn side window and lift out towards rear/top.







Installation note:
Bore holes (1) of side window glass (2) must not be damaged.
Side window glass does not need to be adjusted.
