41 61 001 - Replacing engine bonnet/hood





Warning!
Risk of injury!
The battery negative lead 61 20 900 Disconnecting and Connecting Negative Battery Cable must be clamped off on vehicles with AFGS active pedestrian protection!
Support engine hood in fully opened position with suitable apparatus.





Important!
Removal of the hood/bonnet must be carried out with the assistance of a second person.





For stripping and rigging operations, refer to texts on KSD CD (FR number 41 61 001).
Follow instructions on Active pedestrian protection AFGS (Active Pedestrian Protection) Procedure After Accident system.





Unscrew nuts (1).
Remove hood lid.

Installation Note:
Install engine hood at screw locations to on hinge.
Tightening torque 41 61 1AZ [1][2]41 61 Engine Compartment Lid.
If necessary, adjust engine hood/bonnet Adjusting Engine Bonnet/Hood.
